Burns Night Haggis Pizza
Our Scottish Burns Night Haggis Pizza recipe has everything you need to get you in the Scottish spirit. Here's how to make it:
Ingredients
600g strong white bread flour, plus plenty for rolling
½ tsp dried yeast
30g olive oil
Semolina/polenta for dusting
5g table salt
500g water 25oC
Toppings
250g Mozzarella
100g Gravy
250g Haggis
100g Finely sliced (into match sticks) potato
Method
1. Combine the flour, yeast and salt in a mixing bowl
2. Mix the oil and water together
3. Slowly combine the water with the flour
4. Once completely mixed, cover with a damp cloth
5. Leave for 4 hours and allow to double in size
7. Heat your oven to 200°C
8. Dust baking sheets with semolina
9. Split the dough into four even parts
10. Knead and roll the dough into a flat pizza shape
11. Leave on the baking tray for 15 minutes to rest
12. Top with ingredients;
- Start with the gravy
- Add the cheese
- Top with the haggis
- Finish with fine slices of potatoes
14. Bake in the oven for 12 minutes, remove, allow to rest for 2 minutes then carve and serve!
