HSBC LONDON SEVENS: THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

The penultimate round of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series returns to Twickenham Stadium as the HSBC London Sevens takes place this weekend.

With two full days of action at the Home of England Rugby, here is your guide to the weekend in south west London.

When? Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May

Where? Twickenham Stadium

Timings? 09:00 BST Twickenham opens, 09:30 BST first match kicks off

Entertainment

As well as the action on the pitch, fans can also enjoy buskers and bands; London bus, gin, Pimms and Prosecco bars; fairground rides including a bungee trampoline, big wheel and dodgems; street entertainers and a piano player treating fans to traditional London and British favourites.

UK garage duo DJ Luck and MC Neat will be performing on the Saturday both inside the bowl of the stadium as well as outside in the fan zone.

Inside the stadium there will be live DJs, on pitch games, player pundits, premium HSBC hot seats, HSBC dance cam, kiss cam as well as a host of other activities throughout both days.

England so far

Expect the see the all-time HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series top try scorer in England's Dan Norton, as well the top try scorer for this season in Carlin Isles who has crossed 44 times for the USA in 2018/19.

England are the nominated nation to qualify for Team GB for the next Olympic games, with the top four teams in the 2019 series confirming an automatic place at Tokyo 2020 alongside host nation Japan.

In their last outing in Singapore, England secured bronze by beating series leaders to go with third-place finishes in Dubai and Sydney during this campaign.

Transport

Car - If you are planning to get to Twickenham by car please note that a controlled parking zone operates over an area of approximately one mile around the stadium. Fines and towing are enforced in this area, including Sundays. To pre-book parking at Twickenham please click here.

Shuttle bus - There will be an RFU electric shuttle bus service between Richmond station and the stadium. The service is free post-match and pre-match more than two hours prior to kick off. Less than two hours prior to kick-off there is a charge of £3 per person.

Train - Twickenham Rail Station - 10 min walk, Whitton Rail Station - 10 min walk, St Margaret's Rail Station - 10 min walk.
