Twickenham Stadium to Host Official England Rugby 2019 Dinner
Twickenham Stadium will host another of its widely anticipated ticketed events this summer outside of a match day, with the launch of The Official England Rugby 2019 Dinner, taking place 6 August 19, in the venue's beautifully decked out Rose Suite.
The charity event follows on from Twickenham's previous ticketed events, the first featuring Tom Kerridge and the second ex-England star Kyran Bracken, alongside a host of other former national team members. "We've had a great response to our new ticketed events concept at Twickenham Stadium, it's a great way to showcase the venue, the food and the kind of events that can flourish here," commented Nils Braude, MD, Twickenham Experience Ltd. "These events are fast becoming an important part of our business, and we're looking forward to sharing more of them throughout the summer."
The Official England Rugby 2019 Dinner takes place just one month before the team leaves to compete in Japan. Executive Chef Thomas Rhodes has designed a menu that is both uniquely English, but that also features some authentically Japanese influence, including a starter of seaweed cured monkfish with Yuzu jelly, pickled ginger, miso crumb and dehydrated squid ink and a main of pan roasted rump of lamb with braised lamb tortellini, minted peas, broad beans and fennel.
The event will also include both a pitch side drinks reception and a formal four course dinner in the Rose Suite, within the stadium's South Stand. Meanwhile, the entertainment will be 'all rugby', with a Q&A hosted by former England Rugby player Martin Bayfield including players of the current England training squad as well as England Head Coach Eddie Jones.
