Twickenham Stadium host second community Christmas lunch
This year Twickenham Stadium hosted the second community Christmas lunch.
The event is one of the largest community engagement events in the stadium's calendar and involves guests from six different charities within the local area.
This year, over 350 people were welcomed from across various charities such as: Home-link Respite Centre, V.I.S.O.R., The Vineyard Project, St Mary's Church Isleworth, Foodbank and Residents Associations.
To bring the event to life, Twickenham had live music from 50 members of local choir, The Rock Choir, who kindly donated their time to make the event extra special for all attending.
It also provides a brilliant opportunity for Twickenham staff to give back to the local community. The response from staff to take part has been overwhelming, allowing double the number of guests to attend.
Those attending are served a traditional Christmas lunch and for many this would be first time that they have visited the stadium. The lunch is a key part of the stadium engagement process, for the community to feel that Twickenham Stadium is an integral part of the local area and accessible to all.
Those volunteering help make the guests feel at home by not only serving Christmas lunch but also being keen for a song and dance with the guests.
This event is one that is cherished by all involved and leaves a lasting memory, providing the perfect start to the festive period.
