A Premiership Rugby spokesperson said: "Since the Covid-19 pandemic
struck our priority has been the safety of supporters, players,
management and staff, so we are delighted that it is now safe to
welcome supporters back to the Final.
"With the co-operation of the RFU we have more than 20,000
socially-distanced tickets (25% of capacity) on sale. But we
understand that should circumstances change in the next three weeks
some of those tickets may need to be refunded and we ask all fans
for their understanding if that does happen. The final attendance
is subject to Government regulations and a licence being agreed by
London Borough of Richmond-Upon-Thames (LBRUT) - we will always put
safety first.
"In advance of the Final we would like to thank the team at the RFU
for their tireless work in making this event possible this year and
we are also grateful to the support throughout from LBRUT who play
a crucial role in the implementation of Government
regulations.
"We are working closely with the RFU and LBRUT, as well as with
other key stakeholders such as the Metropolitan police and South
Western Railway, to ensure the events are as safe as possible for
spectators, staff and local residents. Additional measures will be
in place including increased cleaning, extra toilet provision,
assigned gate entry and a revised transport plan."
The Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final 2020, won by Exeter Chiefs
was played behind closed doors and a Premiership Rugby spokesperson
added: "We want to encourage families to attend this year's
Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final so we have decided to sell all
junior tickets (Under-16) at just £20. We are also delighted to be
inviting hundreds of emergency workers, providing them with free
tickets alongside young people from our Project Rugby
programme."
All tickets for the Final will be sold directly by the RFU, as they
were for the European Finals, so if refunds need to be made they
can be made quickly and efficiently from one source.
We have ensured that fans can buy tickets with confidence no matter
what happens. Our Ticket Refund Guarantee means if your tickets are
cancelled due to health and safety reasons, you will be eligible
for a quick 'no quibble' refund for the value of your tickets,
including the booking fee.
By playing the match at Twickenham Stadium, The RFU will provide a
fully digital system with tickets sent to your smartphone. Together
we will also ensure the highest standards of safety for supporters.
