Twickenham reveals gentlemen’s afternoon tea experience
As part of the East Stand's range of new culinary experiences, Twickenham Stadium has unveiled its alternative afternoon tea menu.
The Gentlemen's Afternoon Tea experience involves a substantial selection of sandwiches and appetizers, all accompanied with the finest Scotch whiskeys. This latest addition to the East Stand's catering options is aimed at corporate clients looking for a more filling and substantial menu that is a little different from the norm.
"Of course this menu is in no way limited to our male customers and we do also offer a standard afternoon tea, but we simply wanted to take the concept of afternoon tea with dainty sandwiches and cakes and turn it on its head," said Thomas Rhodes, Executive Head Chef, Twickenham Stadium. "This is Twickenham, home of England Rugby, and through the East Stand proposition we're trying to offer something new. We want all of our new and unusual options to breathe new life into corporate entertainment and provide clients with interesting alternatives. All of these new additions go hand in hand with our existing menus and allow organisers to mix and match the style of their event."
All of the new menus complement the ethos of the East Stand, which aims to get the industry to think differently about their events and challenge the norm. The multi-million pound redevelopment will offer six floors of creative event space that not only provide new-found match day hospitality options but also offer unexpected and dynamic settings that go far beyond a simple conference or banqueting space.
In total the venue will be unveiling over 6,700sqm of contemporary event space and the team is excited to work with clients on new and exciting concepts. The space will be available for hire from December.
